Our neighbours can serve you a nice steak. The restaurant is also known for its extensive offer in regional beers. Another beer cafe in our town is Café De Paling.
Dinner is served
The Flemish Ardennes are known for its nature, with challenges for the cyclists and with many beers and regional products. You cannot only find the ingrediënten, but there are a few young chefs that create magic on your plate. Steven Van Snick van De Verborgen Tuin (Geraardsbergen) and Julie Baekelandt van C-Jules (Zottegem) are worth a visit.

Travel with children
There are several playgrounds, both outside as inside. There are public swimming pools in Ninove, Zottegem and de Gavers Geraardsbergen. There is a climbing wall in Zottegem for the more adventurous types. Or visit the animals at the animal theme park Pairi Daiza or in one of the local children’s farms.
Driesse wines
The vineyard of Driesse is located in Sint-Lievens-Esse. They make a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. You can taste the wine in ‘t Wijnantshof (close to the vineyard).

Brewery Van den Bossche, famous for Pater Lieven and Buffalo beer. In Herzele, there’s a cycle route between the 2 breweries of Herzele or you can check out Plan Bier, a guide of Flanders Tourism of bars and routes along the breweries and best bars of the region.
